形態特徵

• A medium-sized tree; branchlets densely hirsute.
• leaves pinnate, usually 4–5 jugate, 15–20 cm long; leaflets opposite or subopposite, obovate-elliptic or obovate-oblong, chartaceous, 8–15 cm long, 3.5–6.5 cm broad, shortly cuspidate at apex, acute to obtuse somewhat inequilateral at base, glabrous above, villose especially along the veins when young, the lateral veins 8–10 on each side of the midrib, spreading, curved near the margins; petiolules 5–15 mm long.
• Racemes on the larger branches and trunk, solitary or two or three from the same protuberance, villose, 2–4.5 cm long, the pedicels about 1 mm long, villose; calyx ellipsoid, about 3 mm long; irregularly 4-lobed; petals 4, oblong, about 5 mm long; staminal tube cylindrical, 3.5 mm long, the apex 8-toothed; anthers 8, alternate with the teeth, 1 mm long; disk about 1.5 mm long; ovary villose, style glabrous.
• Fruit globose, about 2.3 cm long, hirsute when young, orange yellow when mature, with four strong ribs or keels running from the base to the apex, 4-valved, 4-seeded.
• This species is characterized by the cauliflorous habitus and 4-ridged fruit.

• 台灣 : known only from Is. Lanyu.
• 世界 : The Philippines and N. Bormeo.
